Smart Safety Signal System for Dubai Motorcycle Training Center
Background
Motorcycle training institutes in Dubai are adopting smart systems to improve rider safety and responsiveness. To enhance practical learning, the institutes required intelligent solutions that could simulate real-life hazard situations and ensure trainees maintain proper riding speed during exercises.

Training Logic Control system
Challenge
- Traffic Signal Reaction System — uses infrared sensors, wireless transmitters, and LED signal lights to simulate left, right, or stop commands in random logic, training riders to react to real-life hazards.
- Speed Compliance Light — A pole-mounted light will be installed on the rear side of the cycle, which will automatically turn ON when the motorcycle speed is ≥ 20 km/h and OFF below the threshold, helping trainees maintain proper riding speed during exercises.
Solution:
Traffic Signal Reaction and Speed Compliance Light Integration for Effective Training

Benefits & Advantages
Traffic Signal Reaction System
- 2.4 GHz Wireless Control: Reliable RF link between sensor cones and LED traffic lights for real-time signal response.
- Infrared Detection Trigger: IR sensors detect rider movement and activate random directional commands for reaction training.
- Dual Solar Power Sets: Independent solar modules with battery backup enable fully off-grid operation for both sensor and light units.
- Full-Size 300 mm LED Indicators: High-brightness red, left, and right lights deliver clear visibility under outdoor daylight conditions.
Speed Compliance Light
- GPS + Antenna Speed Detection: Accurately detects motorcycle velocity through GNSS and antenna signals.
- Automatic Light Control: Automatically switch ON/OFF based on the designated speed threshold.
- Compact All-in-One Control Unit: Combines control board, I/O carrier board, and enclosure for compact installation on training motorcycles.
- DC Power Compatibility: Operates directly from DC 12V input with internal DC–DC conversion to 3.3 V logic for controller operation.
